We are looking to chapters and independent support groups for a volunteer from each local area to serve their community as a "Government Relations Liaison." If you are a TSA member, and interested send an email to elridge.proctor@tsa-usa.org. The Deadline is no later than December 31, 2010.
Term: January 2011-December 2011.
Orientation Meeting: January 2011, date TBA. Three additional group meetings will be scheduled for the year in March, June, and September, 2011. Note that all meetings are 30 minutes long, via phone conference.
Discussion topics: Community Outreach, Grassroots Advocacy, and Legislative Priorities for the new 112thCongress.
Outcome: Help community members utilize TSA's resources - in turn, the TSA will utilize community input to develop new policy issues and programs that will directly help children, parents, and adults with TS, both locally and nationally.

Note: Youth Ambassador Teams (YA & Guardians)are especially encouraged to serve as Government Relations Liaisons. If Chapter Chairs appoint themselves, we ask that they also select a Co-Liaison to share in the responsibilities.
Field Services will work with Chapters and Independent Support Group Leaders to re-appoint or select Liaisons by the deadline date.
