An Invitation to Join
the TSA CHAIRMAN'S CLUB

from TSA's Chairman

October 2009

Dear Friend of TSA,

Each year at this time it’s customary for the Chairman of the national Board of Directors to ask TSA
members to consider joining the Chairman’s Club by making a gift toward a project selected by the
Chairman. This year is no exception, however in view of these extraordinary economic times, the project
is both an obvious one and one of great demand. I’m asking all who can to join me in contributing
toward the essential work of TSA’s Information and Referral Services program. This program provides
front line service and support to all people coping with Tourette Syndrome who are in great need of help.

We are all aware that during times of crisis and stress, TS symptoms are exacerbated. Over the past year
and for some time to come, the economy is negatively impacting virtually every aspect of life in America.
Its effect is creating an inordinate amount of stress resulting in record numbers of people with TS
contacting TSA’s Information and Referral Office for help. Their needs range widely and include issues
of jobs and work, housing, medical and counseling, insurance and legal, schooling and higher education,
and just about anything else related to coping with everyday living. This office provides real in-thetrenches
work that has a profound effect on the needs of individuals and families touched by TS who have
nowhere else to turn. Information and Referral is one of the lesser known areas of operation of TSA,
yet — especially during this turbulent time in our nation’s history — among the association’s most
important and critical. For the well being of all people with TS whom we serve, it is essential that this
work continue unabated, and so I ask for your kindness and generosity in making this happen.

Again, I invite you to join me in supporting this year’s critical TSA initiative by participating in my
Chairman’s Club Appeal. Your gift of $100 or more will help assure that our nation’s TSA population
will continue to get the best possible Information and Referral Services they so desperately need. Of
course, realizing the economic nature of these times, any contribution you can make to this worthy
program would also be tremendously appreciated. Let me also mention that since the coming year is a
TSA National Conference year, it is my pleasure to extend an invitation to all members of the Chairman’s
Club to join me at the exclusive Chairman’s Reception. This event will be held in our nation’s Capitol at
the upcoming TSA National Conference in April 2010.

I thank you in advance for being there for all people with Tourette Syndrome who turn to TSA in time of need.

Sincerely,

Ken Moelis
Chairman
