This October, communities will unite nationwide to raise awareness of bullying prevention. The national Tourette Syndrome Association (TSA) has partnered with PACER Center to launch an anti-bullying project. You are encouraged to take action on this back to school issue to engage, educate, and inspire people to tolerate and accept Tourette Syndrome (TS).

If we unite and combine our strengths, as the TSA is doing with PACER, we can create a culture that no longer accepts bullying and we will make a difference for all students and individuals being bullied in 2010 and 2011. We have designed our own month long letter-writing campaign against bullying and teasing, and we invite you to join in - to Influence Your Legislators.

You can persuade lawmakers to explore changes in laws to protect children. Bullying is an issue that directly affects students and the school culture. When you take action, you show you care about other students and your school community—and immediately you become a powerful voice for change.
