2010 National Conference

April 15-18, 2010 Hilton Alexandria Mark Center - Alexandria, VA

Join us in Alexandria, Virginia as leading professionals and inspiring speakers gather at our 2010 National Conference for two and a half days of education, information and networking in the metro-DC area.  Nowhere else can people come together in a warm, family-like atmosphere to learn from the nation’s leading practitioners and researchers in the field, while gaining support, building friendships, and sharing experiences with peers.

Our meeting features a one-day Newly Diagnosed Seminar presented by TSA Medical Advisory Board Chair, John Walkup, MD; a Leadership Track (for chapter leaders, staff, and volunteers); a Teen Track (for teens ages 14-18 with TS and siblings), and our comprehensive Medical & Behavioral, Education Advocacy, and Adult/Young Adult tracks.

Pre-conference activities April 13-15 include TSA’s Youth Ambassador Leadership Training (by application only) and our annual Trip to the Hill.

Here’s what people have said about the TSA Conference:

“There's nothing like the TSA National Conference for stimulating interaction with others with TS. It's also terrific to be able to see, both formally and informally, top researchers and experts of all types. Going to conference is a priceless resource, for either a newcomer to the scene or a relative old-timer. I went as a midlife newcomer in '98 (I was diagnosed at 40), and I'll be more of a veteran this time. I highly recommend it for anyone of any age.” – Bruce Holtgren

“In April 2008, I attended the TSA National Conference in Virginia. It was more than I could have ever hoped for. I regained a sense of normalcy around all of the other people with TS that I hadn’t felt since being diagnosed nine months prior.  It was indescribable. I learned an important lesson from the older "touretters".  It is a great thing to be able to come together at a convention like this and walk with such confidence; however, it is a far better thing to take that confidence home and to educate.  Knowledge can turn people's view of TS from a negative to positive.” – Ellen Maring
