A Spectacular Evening in Beverly Hills

The Tourette Syndrome Association would like to express its sincerest thanks to Mr. Michael Ovitz, for opening his new home and underwriting a remarkable fundraising reception benefitting the TSA on June 3, 2010. Perched high atop Beverly Hills, with sweeping views of Century City in the distance, the very modern, multi level house contains a number of professionally created galleries exhibiting a significant part of Mr. Ovitz’ vast, world class contemporary art collection. In addition to the galleries, every room, as well as the surrounding perfectly manicured property, houses unique masterpieces and sculptors.

As guests and contributors roamed the multitude of rooms, Mr. Ovitz’ curatorial staff, assisted by many art interpreters strategically placed throughout, were available to describe the works to guests and answer any questions that arose.

An outdoor lounge created adjacent to the house on the great lawn was the setting for brief but inspiring remarks by TSA national Board of Directors Chairman Kenneth Moelis and Mr. Ovitz. Mr. Moelis, who has co-chaired TSA’s annual fundraiser since 2000, thanked Mr. Ovitz for opening up the house for the first time for such an event and he thanked the many supporters of the Tourette Syndrome Association who were present. In his remarks, Mr. Moelis paid tribute to Viktoria Holm Kramer, a founder of the TSA’s annual West Coast Champion of Children Event, who passed away in February. Mr. Ovitz also thanked the supporters of the association and spoke about how proud he was of his son Chris who in succeeding in business and life despite having Tourette Syndrome.

“We are extremely grateful to Michael and his extraordinary staff for making this evening a unique fundraising event for TSA and for his generosity in opening his home to TSA and our supporter,” said Judit Ungar, TSA President

It was a unique event in a truly unique setting. It was the perfect way to say thank you to the many significant supporters to TSA’s critical programs of education, research and service.
