Tourette Association EDUCATION IN-SERVICE
Online Viewing and Downloads

The Tourette Association provides essential TS information to educators and families to optimize teaching and learning and tries to end stigma and promote acceptance regarding TS in school settings. Through an ongoing partnership with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), The Tourette Association conducts seminars for Educators and Allied professionals to train them to understand, address and manage symptoms of Tourette Syndrome in the education environment.

The Tourette Association has published a Education In-Service DVD. It includes a A 30-minute presentation of the basics about TS, plus three additional short presentations that can be used to give more in-depth knowledge on some disorders associated with TS: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, ADD/Executive Dysfunction, and Associated Learning Disorders. It is intended to be used by parents/families, as well as teachers, and allied professionals to provide in-services to an entire school staff, a child's educational team, school nurses, counselors, social workers, therapists, school board members, and other groups.

The DVD includes tips on how to set up an in-service at a school, how to prepare and how to use the PowerPoint presentations.
