1. Insert the TSA EDUCATION IN-SERVICE DVD
 
2. Wait for your computer to recognize the DVD; the "TSA Education In-service" menu should appear automatically--skip to step 4.

3. If the Menu doesn't appear automatically, double click on the "My Computer" icon; then double click on the DVD "TS In-Service"; the "TSA Education In-service" menu should appear.

4. You may need/want to re-size the Menu from 100% to "fit Page" to view the entire page.

The first 4 items are presentations - given in both Adobe Acrobat PDF format and Microsoft Powerpoint (PPT) format

The last item is a video with helpful tips on how to give effective presentations.

5. We suggest that you watch the video, "Tips for Effective Presentations on TS" first (click "PLAY")

6. For each/any of the 4 presentations (or "modules"), you may want to review them first in either the PDF or PPT format; clicking on the "PDF" or "PPT" after the presentation name should start the presentation

7. When you are ready to present to a group, we suggest:

You will need computer and projector (or a large monitor) so all audience members can see the selected DVD presentation

Print notes for yourself to guide you through the presentation and print handouts for the group:

Start Microsoft PowerPoint; click "File", "Open", and find the DVD TSA In-Service icon and file list; double click on the folder "PowerPoint files"; double click on the name of your selected presentation to open it (module names end in "11112008" and may show a "pps" file extension), e.g. "OCD Module 11112008.pps" or "OCD Module 11112008"

For notes for yourself: when your selected PowerPoint presentation is open, click "File", "Print". When the printer dialog box opens up, next to "Print What:" click the drop down arrow, select "Notes" - this will print one slide per page with relevant information for you to present to your audience.

For handouts for the group: click "File", "Print". When the printer dialog box opens up, next to "Print What:" click the drop down arrow and select "Handouts" along with number to print per page(e.g. "Handouts (6 slides per page)").

2. The DVD Icon "TSA In-Service" will appear on your desktop

3. Double Click on the DVD "TSA In-Service"; then, click on TS_Menu.pdf; follow steps 4 through 7 above (special Mac note re step #5 - if QuickTime won't open the video "Tips for Effective Presentations on TS" (How to Present.mpg), and shows the message "not a movie file", there's a work-around--download and install a free video player that will play the video.
